Hi Eric, how wonderful to have the addition of your comment about Pirkko’s early work. I am sure she will be tickled pink to know that!
I have no idea of value but I will let her know of your comment.

I have some of Pirkko’s early work, 1955.
I inherited the work from my father who knew her back in Holland.
Trying to find out it’s worth today. Thanks!

Regards,
Eric van Zuiden.

Glad to be of help Sandy!
Sometimes there are paintings that move us emotionally and sometimes there are paintings that do not. I’d say, relax and let it happen if it’s going to happen. And if not, that’s just fine! 🙂

Enjoyed the paintings. It takes me longer to discern the feelings being portrayed so much more concentration is required. S.

I know, I love that piece too! Casey how lucky you are to have seen Pirkko’s work in the real!! And yes, there is much to ‘feel’ in her work.

So glad you liked it Linda! How interesting that you too are a potter and so can fully relate to what Pirkko has to say.

I love your take on the paintings you mention Gailen. You’ve added another layer to their meaning.
It’s my pleasure especially when I receive such affirming responses. I’m happy that those I’ve so far asked to guest blog have been gracious enough to do so. I look forward to continuing to bring wonderful artists and their art to you!
